Despite buying dark brown grout, it turned grey once the tile people grouted too soon and it mixed with the thin-set. Se we needed to stain it with something. Came across Grout Refresh on Amazon and gave it a shot, came out great! Note: I used “Truffle” for my floors
Note: We waited 2 weeks after the tile was put down before we did the grout renew. (mainly because our tile guys said the grout would darken, but it did not) The next day we used a sealer to lock it in.
We used “TileLab Gloss Sealer / Tile Finisher”. The wood look tile had a dusty look to it since it was matte so we wanted a little slight gloss on there. One coat of that sealer mopped (with a cheap sponge dollar store mop and paint tray) on gave it a semi gloss look that was just right. (more coats would make it extra glossy for anyone that wants that)

OPQRST Pain Assessment (Nursing)
The OPQRST nursing pain assessment is super important for you to know as a nursing student. You’ll need to learn how to assess pain in order to keep your patients comfortable, and also to figure out what might be going on in their body, because pain can tell you a lot about a patients condition.
So, you might be thinking, what the heck does OPQRST even mean?
OPQRST is a handy dandy mnemonic for assessing pain.
It stands for:
O: Onset
P: Provocation or Palliation
Q: Quality
R: Region or Radiation
S: Severity
T: Timing
And there are some key questions you’ll need to ask for each of these categories:
O: Onset:
What were you doing when the pain started?
Did the pain happen suddenly, or had it been coming on for a while?
P: Provocation or Palliation
What makes the pain worse?
What makes the pain better?
Q: Quality
Can you describe the pain for me?
R: Region or Radiation
Where is the pain located?
Is it spreading or extending to another area?
S: Severity
On a scale of 0-10, with 0 being no pain at all, and 10 being the worst possible pain imaginable, where is your pain level at right now?
T: Timing
What were you doing when the pain started?
Is the pain always there or does it come and go?
Is there anything different about the pain than when it started?
Has this pain ever happened before?
The OPQRST mnemonic can be super handy when you’re at your nursing school clinicals, or when you need to remember it during lecture class or skills lab.
And of course, we’ve got a free cheat sheet for you to print off so that you can remember all of these questions to ask for the OPQRST pain assessment: http://bit.ly/nursingsos11

It’s Monday, so let’s get Baking Mad with my friends from http://www.bakingmad.com with a French classic.
For my Pain Au Chocolat, you’ll need:
250ml milk
450gr plain flour
1tsp yeast
Chocolate bars
10gr unsalted butter
40gr golden caster sugar
150gr unsalted butter
1tsp salt
1egg
Method:
First make the dough – in a bowl of a mixer place the milk, flour, yeast, unsalted butter, sugar and salt. Using the dough hook mix ’til the dough has detached itself from the bowl.
Place in a slightly floured bowl, cover with film or damp towel and leave to prove for 40mins at room temperature. Punch it down and turn onto a floured surface. Using a rolling pin, batch the butter into a rectangle. Roll the dough into a square, place the butter into the middle and fold the dough like an envelope. You must make sure the butter is completely wrapped-in.
Using the rolling pin roll the dough into a rectangle 20cmx50cm. Fold the dough in thirds lengthways, like a business letter. This completes the first “tour”.
Rotate to 90 degrees so that the folded edge is on your left and the dough is facing you like a book. Roll and repeat the operation and cover and place in the fridge for at least 30mins and then give the dough another 2 “tours”, so you complete 4 “tours” in total.
Then, roll the pastry into a rectangle and cut bands roughly 10cm by 20cm 5mm thick. Place the chocolate bar on the top and then roll them.
Place them on a buttered baking tray making sure to have the joint under the roll. With your hand flattened them gently. Cover and let to prove at room temperature for another 35/40 mins. Brush with the beaten egg and bake in a pre heated oven 180c for 25/30mn till golden brown.
Let to cool down before serving with a fresh coffee!
Happy Baking!

In a fast-paced, highly informational talk, Damla Gundogdu, a Junior at the American School of Dubai, introduces and explores the viability of new cancer treatments that aim to tackle the disease through somatic gene therapy. She evaluates these treatments’ merits as well as the common skepticism that surrounds these bleeding-edge discoveries, ultimately presenting a smartly-reached conclusion on the feasibility and potential implementation of gene therapy methods. Damla Gundogdu has been living in Dubai since 2009 and is in her first year at ASD. Although she doesn’t posses the “three season athlete grind,” she does play tennis and enjoys topics regarding biology and psychology.
She will be talking about somatic gene therapy in the treatment of cancer, and will evaluate the benefits and disadvantages of somatic gene therapy as well as its approval by the FDA in late 2017. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
